I’m Shelby, the maker behind The Crying Cryptid 3D. I started 3d printing in 2021 as a way to make ends meet while doing something creative and I feel fortunate every day that it has turned into a way to bring a little joy to others too. Whether it’s supporting neurodivergent minds or simply creating something fun, every piece has a purpose.

What began with one small printer has grown into 11 full-size printers and a whole lot of passion. Each month I get to support over 20 different artists by printing their designs under a commercial license. They create the designs, I bring them to life, and together we collaborate on content, often working with filament manufacturers as well. I make prints for anyone, but my work seems to resonate most with gamers, cosplayers, fantasy lovers, and anyone who enjoys the odd & unusual. Through this journey I’ve found an incredible community that I’m so grateful to be a part of.

Every item created is made with care, attention to detail and a genuine love for what I do, and I hope it sparks a bit of joy for you too.
